I saw Wishbone Ash last December. Some of the Moody Blues albums are worth a listen.
Thin Lizzy; two Les Paul guitars. Such a lush sound. I can’t remember the song but I loved it when Phil Lynot was on top of the pops reflecting the light into the camera on his shiny bass.
Now I want you all to go onto you tube and listen to Lynnyrd Skynnyrd. Tuesday’s gone in a good one.
ah yes. Lynnyrd Skynnerd, saw them at knebworth 1n 1976. you’re right tuesday gone is brilliant! they were on a great line up topped by the stones! i was such a young thing in those days 17 i think. thin lizzy played liverpool stadium a lot and that was a place we often went to. even wigan casino had some good bands on. saturday was rock night before the northern soul all nighter. saw marillion, the stranglers, medicine head and edwin starr there. yea and a pie on the way home! (kidding)
Northern Soul all dayers had quite a few too, not usually many people in at 2.30 pm, about 30 for Jimmy Cliff! I would have paid…had I not worked there! Can quite understand why there was no rush for Martha Reeves and the Vandellas though.
