Guess I’m just after a bit of reassurance really?
Saw neurologist Monday (was lovely) spoke about my history, examined me and mumbled some conditions he suspected
Then got a phonecall this morning for an appointment this afternoon for head and spine MRI?
So I’m thinking, either he’s just a really efficient doctor? Or he’s made this urgent? Which has worried me a bit…
I had an 2 MRIs (head… normal) years ago and they said results 1-2 weeks but today they said we can’t tell you how long results will take?
So I’m worried and wondering what the hell is going on.
No nothing yet, they’ve mentioned MS/myasthenia/myotonic dystrophy he’s not sure atm.
Symptoms:
Double vision that comes and goes since I was young .
Fatigue.
Weakness
Muscle spasms/cramps?
Stiffness.
Trouble with swallow.
Balance problems that come and go.
And probably more stuff I can’t remember lol but just slowly got worse and starting to worry.
Welcome @Daydreamer… I can understand your worry and the tendency to want to double guess. There are many on this forum that have been there so totally get where you are coming from.
I have learnt to try and take things in my stride when it comes to appointments. Recently, I had a follow up appointment post shoulder surgery, that was on the Wednesday. I was referred for nerve conduction studies… appointment came through for Saturday of that same week. Now I am obsessed with checking the post for the results…
Hopefully your results will come through soon and you will know what you are facing. Post here any time, and we will do our best to support you every step of the way.
