After 1 whole year of waiting since My referral, I seen the neurologist this morning. The neurologist was really helpful and he took me seriously, he has ordered a spinal mri (I had a clear brain mri last year) and another nerve conduction test but this time with the needles, he wouldn’t say what he thought it could be but he said there is something obviously not right. I Also had a range of blood tests taken. I have had constant pins and needles in my feet for over 8 years, cramps numbness ect. I am just relieved that I am finally getting somewhere, I know it could turn out to be nothing but least it’s a start. Does anyone know how long the appointment will be for the mri? The neurologist is going to get me to have both the mri and the nerve conduction tests on the same day. I know I have a lot of more waiting to do.
I would imagine that it varies from hospital to hospital. My neurologist appointment was in May and my MRI was at the end of July. That was in Sheffield
I had about an 8 week wait from my 1st neurology appointment to my spine mri in Salford. But I did only land at the neurologist after an unrelated head mri found brain lesions, I’m not sure if that made a difference to the wait times. Good luck and I hope your wait passes quickly.

Hey, it was around 3 weeks, it would of been 4 weeks but I found out at a and e the week before by chance. I had a phone call on thr 4 week mark, I hope that helps. Yeah the waiting is awful! Thank you, I hope you get some answers soon also.
It does help thanks! It will be 6 weeks on Sunday since my mri and I’m in Liverpool too so thought I’d ask. Hope I hear something this week but it’s already nearly Thursday 
6 weeks is a long time for results

My neurologist appointment was in February of this year at time of RRMS diagnosis and MRI was scheduled for early April . I am under south Eastern trust, Belfast.
No only under the GP at the moment. I finally went to see her because half my face went completely numb and I knew I couldn’t ignore this one 
so she spoke to a neurologist and they put me thru for a MRI.

Least you’re on the route now for neurology and I hope you receive your results soon , the waiting is awful and long for the referel of neurology.
Just a little update, I have received an appointment for a full spine mri on the 11th of December. I am surprised that I had received an appointment so soon, 6 days ago I seen the neurologist. Time will tell what happens.

Hello, i had my spine mri 2 days ago, now waiting on the results but they said it could take upto 3-4 weeks so now it’s just the waiting game again.I will update further when I know more. Just the not knowing is painful. I don’t think anything will show, I think I will be in the category of the unknown, symptoms for 8 years but no diagnosis.
