If you read my earlier post about losing my lovely cat to antifreeze poisoning on Sunday, I am devastated to have had the same thing happen yesterday to my last adult cat, Daisy. I just can’t believe that I’ve now lost four cats in 6 months, all to the same thing.
The police are involved, but not much they can do other than leaflet the area to warn of the dangers and to point out the punishment for a deliberate poisoning.
What makes losing Daisy even worse is the fact that she was the last cat we got just before my husband passed away two years ago, so that last animal link to him has now gone
This is all so trivial compared to the daily challenges and struggles you all cope with, but as you are all such caring people it’s good to be able to share my ‘downs’ with you all.
Thanks Jen & Shazzie. Yes, not a good time at the moment. Missing them so much - the house is dead without them wandering around, jumping onto the sofa for a cuddle

i’m so sorry, i can’t imagine how anyone could hurt someones much loved pet in any way. i hope to hell the police get the ********. i have 3 cats and just can’t comprehend how you must be feeling.
so,so sorry to hear this June,its so upsetting for you,i cant believe how horrid some can be,how can you do this to a loving pet its beyond me,it really is. how about IF you get another cat, if and when you feel ready to
how about having it as an house cat,that way it would be safer,at least you wouldnt have the worry of it happening again.

Hi - What a terrible thing to happen to your cat. My husband died 3 years ago - very suddenly - and always said he would come back as a cat, as our cat always got fed what and when he wanted, and also seemed to lay about in the warmest part of the house or garden. My cat has seemed extra affectionate and a real comfort since then, so I would be devastated if he was poisened. My thoughts are with you, take care Jackie x
This makes me really angry to hear and i feel sad for your loss.There are some very sad evil people out there.
All my cats are house cats and i know some people will not agree with it and say it is cruel but i sleep better at night knowing they are safe.My cats were kept in right from the start so they are very used to it,it is very hard to change a cat from going outdoors to keeping them in, so much better to start right from being a kitten.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Our pets keep us going more then ppl some times. I do hope they find these stupid nasty ppl .i can’t even write what I’d do to them. I lost my dog years ago to rat poison so I no your pain.xxxxhugsxxxx
