TV [not MS]

Or we could have been in our teens and just didn’t grow up??? I always wanted to watch Tizwaz and Grange Hill but my mum wouldn’t let me ‘as it wasn’t suitable’ [but did let me watch Captain Pugwash- mothers] so I had to go round to friends.

Hmm what about Crossroads used to love Benny x

Ha, yes

My Mum also hated Tizwaz so that was a no no, but I was allowed Grange Hill, probably snuck by with the timeslot

I’m the oldest of 3 girls and there’s a total of 5 years between us so it is quite a good gauge… it the got a bit confused as my Mum adopted 3 more kids and my Dad had a daughter in his second marriage so it’s quite muddled these days

Do you remember Tiswas presented by its original presenter Peter Tomlinson? he was the presenter (serious) on ATV today back when Tiswas was a regional programme

Me too Blossom - and Andy Pandy, Tales of the Riverbank etc. Loved the way Spotty Dog in the Wooden Tops barked and moved. Simple pleasures.

The Magic Roundabout.

When you think about it there were quite a lot of good stuff to watch with only 3 channels. we’ve got 100s now and not a lot on eh?

So true Shazzie, but I think that reminds me of JBK’s comment on another thread its all about ‘quality not quantity’

Anyone remember ‘Hatty Town’ with Sancho (…a walking mexican sombrero) and Carrots (…the donkey) ?

(…or maybe it’s just me going gaga?!!)

Dom

Then I am gaga too. I remember it. Wasn’t there a town crier as well.
