Maybe we should all be heading to Ireland for tonight’s shindig. I think Chilli & soda bread is just the thing for freezing cold weather. Your place Poppy? Will Mr Poppy mind if there’s a few more people in the house wrecking the place with their wheelchairs and bad driving when pished?
I have my new Japanese ROKU gin. I’m happy to share…
Oh lordy. Well that answers your question Sue. We don’t have home help, just personal help for me for the shower and dressing. Mr Poppy wouldn’t be a happy bunny. He already feels hard done by with the essential housework he has to do.
Let’s gather at the ms centre. It’s rented for use of the members, has a dishwasher. Oh and very comfy long padded and upholstered seats like you find in a bar… should anyone not be able to make the journey home…
Now there’ll not be soda bread tonight. Hadn’t the heart to bake some more but do have some part baked rolls to throw in the oven. I’m going to have to teach myself to drink gin I think.
At 03:56 ( UK) I was in the land of nod ! Always happy to bring a variety of cheese and pancake and gin, choccy and wine. just don’t expect quality conversation.
Glad you’re here. Thought I’d come a bit early and plug these slow cookers in. Mr Poppy dropped me off and is happy to escape and have some quiet time to himself. Now, I’ve got the fiery chili in one, chicken curry in the other and a mild veggie curry in this one. It should warm everyone up. There’s a six pack of beer there hanging around since Christmas. I’m sure it will be consumed by someone at some point.
All this talk of food making me soooooo hungry. think il have a wee bevvie while waiting on my tea getting made. My partner making tea for a change, fingers crossed!! Can’t wait to get back to normal so we can go out to eat and drink and drink and drink!!
