Rangpur gin & Fevertree (with lime) for me. Can’t eat nuts, but as I’ve given up real life crisps (obviously not gin ) some virtual crisps would be very nice. Not too much ice - it’s too cold. And I’d like 50/50 ratio of gin to tonic too please.
Is the party still going on? I’ll take a whiskey & Coke and some of your crisps, please. I’m celebrating today because I got a free coffee maker as part of a store promotion! It brews faster than I can walk across the room.
Of course… as this is a forum virtual party we have the ability to control time itself. And we have a duty to celebrate every victory, so a coffee machine win is completely valid. great result, and it might come in handy when the hangover (virtual or actual) happens.
Can I join please? If possible can I have a long dry martine and lemonade. Ice, lemon and a cherry if possible? Gosh i am salivating… By the way, so nice to see you back Ellie. Anne
Oh yes, let’s keep this party going. The more the merrier.
Can we have some slightly more substantial snacks as well as crisps? Purely to soak up the alcoholic libations of course. I’m thinking frozen snacks from a certain supermarket designed to go with drinks - including cheesy bites, spicy chicken bites, halloumi chips, maybe some onion rings, that kind of thing? Oh and prawn tempura. With appropriate dips?
Plus can we have some waiter service? Less drinks and snacks will be chucked all over the floor that way. (All about waste, not greed and alcoholism!)
Gin and tonic with ice and a slice please. Just plain gin made with juniper berries and a botanicals. Sorry, non of those new coloured fruit flavour ones. yuch!!
Snacks - a mixture of savoury peanuts, crisps, Japanese snacks or anything thanks.
Ooh a party! Brilliant. Late to the party as usual. Had to put the wheelchair on charge. Managed to run over Mr Poppy’s foot on the way out the door. He’s just fine.
The last party-ish occasion I attended was my nephew’s wedding. It was about four years ago as I was only using a crutch then and managed the stairs at the guest house we stayed in. (Big sigh)
Now, let’s see. Can I be posh and have a Tia Maria with ice please? Failing that I’ll have a white wine. Actually I’ll just take this bottle over here to the side. Saves having to get refills. Snacks? Old fashioned sausage rolls for me please.
Anyone for a sing song or do we need a bit more adult beverages?
Poppy the amount of alcohol required for me to start singing, would be enough for me to think I could do a tap dance demo! Plus my singing can curdle milk at 200 yards. Probably better if I sit quietly sipping my gin / wine nibbling cheese whilst enjoying other people’s singing.
It’s 3 am here, and you’re making me hungry! Can we have some jalapeno poppers with the crisps? And I second Ssssue on the onion rings. Perfect combination for some late-night indigestion.
the success of this happy little get together shows that it should be kept going for ever!
snacks and nibbles are important to soak up the booze so choose whatever you like such as jalapeno poppers and onion rings as described by nora’s mom and ssssue whose digestive systems appear to be indestructible!
