This heat!

How’s everyone coping in the heat? My feet feel permanently on fire. Boots has a good cooling foot spray, also a foot bath potion to put in a cool bowl of water and immerse your feet. Body Shop has a spray too but more expensive. If you have lemon balm in the garden or mint - mine is rampant - bruise a good bunch between your hands and put in a bowl of cool water for a soak. It’s supposed to be cooler on Thursday…

I find it dreadful, even sitting doing nothing, just too hot for me, my feet, ankles and legs are swollen and painful.

Roll on Thursday.

Yesterday I did nothing when the sun was out. In the evening, I went onto the driveway and drank a cold glass of white wine.

Today, I needed to get up the road to get some money out. I went on my scooter in turbo mode in t-shirt and shorts. The cooler breeze was glorious. Then I had to put some proper trousers on because my legs had returned to ice.

Stay cool, Steve.

London feels like a sauna. Not pleasant!!!

Today is overcast actually and there’s a breeze but still feels SO humid!

Even Dickie can’t be bothered to play!

Omg!! My body is like jelly and I am just dragging myself about. Someone phoned me this morning and I couldn’t remember how to use the remote control to turn down the volume of the tv. Started to panic, goodness knows what the person on the other end of the phone thought.

I have opened all the windows of the house and it’s starting to get a bit cooler but it is now raining. I really hope this clears the air as I feel awful.

Had to go to Northampton Hospital on Monday to see the MS bowel nurse, and to podiatry yesterday. The car has air-con, so that wasn’t too bad, but transferring in and out of the car was gruelling. Otherwsie just lying indoors keeping still.

7.30 pm in Norfolk and as dark as 10pm but lovely light rain and some distant thunder so that looks promising…feet still twice the size though. Feel as if they are going to pop out of their skin!

What a nightmare the last three days have been, we were forecast thunderstorms today but they didn’t happen!

What happened to the girl who could lay out on the lawn for hours slathered in neat coconut oil?

Can’t imagine how I used to live in Spain and prior to that Bermuda…and without magicool!

Take care guys and keep cool

Jackie,

I can’t do anything I did 33 years ago. But my GP says that’s perfectly normal.

Cheers!

My legs feel as though they are on fire. I am fed up of feeling so wiped out. Its cooler today thank goodness, but aftermath of the last few days i feel rank. x

Hope everyone is now feeling better with today’s drop in temperature. Must say, I’ve felt restored enough to think about a trip away…or maybe I feel better for discovering Sainsbury’s salted peanut and caramel ice cream…

Hi Mr Worry,

I’ve just bought 4 vests from Amazon. Found them in sports wear. Their not expensive and I have found that they do work. And no more “worries” - sorry for that, couldn’t resist a wee quip about your name. Good one! Please forgive.
