There's a gorilla...

Hi folks

The sun is shining AND I’ve just been rowing, so that’s it for the day? Stress levels slightly lower than they have been, he (silverback gorilla) is tamely sitting in the corner - I did say sitting… I love my living room although the dust levels are pretty high, who cares.

I hope everyone has a good day take care, M

Hi M, glad to hear the gorilla is tame at moment (or semi tame anyway).

Quentin Crisp said the dust doesn’t get any worse after the first couple of years. You could always experiment to see if he was right? I pay for a cleaner to come in every 2 weeks to give the place a good going over. Pay out of my DLA so don’t know how long that will last!

My gorilla is being a bug*er today. Fatigue through the ceiling. Has been so bad recently… although had a bit of a better day yesterday… but in general it’s much worse. Didn’t think it could get worse… but there you go. Getting lots of exercise though from frequent trips to the loo…

Moan over. The two crows I have been watching have finished their nest and I think have laid eggs. One of them is always in the nest now and the other one stands on the top branches of the next tree keeping guard. I placed my recliner so I can sit and watch them.

Hope you and everyone doing ok.

Hi Pat

Thinking of you watching the crows, I sit and watch two robins in our garden, busily gathering all the little twigs, they are so cute, hope they stay safe.

Each year at this time we have a male and a female duck visit our quiet cul de sac (live close to the canal). They have been coming for years, but you always know when their eggs have been laid, cos they then come to visit one at a time. They are so friendly, they even let my hubby feed them from his hand, I am not that brave, but I love to watch at a distance.

They have been named Charlie and Clarissa by us and our neighbours, and they are just part of the family now. Hope they bring their babies to see us this year, although they have been visiting for years, they have only brought their little family with them once, so fingers crossed.

Hope your gorilla goes back in the cupboard soon, take care

Pam.

Lovely about your ducks Pam… and the robins. I love robins and see one sometimes on crab-apple tree outside my window… and hear it singing in the night… also I get great-tits on the tree.

All this in very busy part of London! Oh and geese flying over from the pond at Alexandra Palace. I can see the palace in winter when the leaves have dropped, but now the trees are in leaf my view is blocked.

And so to bed,

Thanks Pam, have a nice evening,

Hi folks

I hope everyone is feeling okay/fine/well today. I had a lovely cleaner for years and she died, finding it hard to replace her sentimental old fool or what? I’m pretty sure QC is right about dust. I hope your gorilla is behaving himself today Patjust in case he is misbehaving. We have a family of long-tailed tits in our birdbox, if all is quiet you can hear the chicks. the parent birds look kn**ckerd but that’s life! Take care, M
