Hi everyone, The other day was a lovely warm day ( don’t have many of them in the north east of Scotland.) wasn’t feeling that great throughout the day and by evening my feet and fingers were really swollen and my skin felt really tight. Is this heat sensitivity I have heard of, I have never had it this bad before. Mags
Mags I feel better when it’s warm than I do when it’s cold, my body doesn’t react well to it, but my hands and feet do swell in the heat with my fingers feeling like sausages ready to split open at times. The only thing I could recommend is for you to elevate your legs with feet above heart level for an hour or two each afternoon, it helps the swelling. Take care.

I think this is where we all get slightly different versions of things.
For me, the Uthoff’s only really kicks in if I seriously overheat - I didn’t twig at the time but days when I soaked in a hot bath, well I struggled to stand afterwards, let alone walk
Summer heat last year caused my feet/ankles to swell and they felt like they were burning all the time. I carried a can of Magicool in my handbag to relieve the discomfort.
I’m having to “learn” to moisturise regularly (when I taught pole dance I NEVER went near body lotions, dangerous!) and I think this is maybe a little bit related to temperature though. I’ve noticed that my hands & feet have it seems quite suddenly, gone pretty dry. Also, my feet are pretty much permanently different temperatures now so I usually need a hot waterbottle at night etc. which I don’t think is great for the skin.
Also, because I’m kind of a bit numb on one hand, the skin always feels tight regardless of temperature. Again, trying to moisturise more so I don’t have rough cuticles etc.
I feel like I have so much more upkeep to do these days…but I think that’s because it’s all that much more difficult to do. Like my daily make-up routine just consists of mascara & lig gloss now (but with cotton buds to wipe off all smudges!) instead of a full face full as there’s just not time!
