I’ll be switching dmt soon from Tysabri to Kesimpta and wondered if anyone else had done the same?
Replying to my own message here but as I found very little online about the swap I thought I’d share my journey.
June 2025 agreed with nurse to make the switch
July 2025 sit down with nurse to go through the kesimpta check sheet and pre change bloods taken
August 25 order arranged with Lloyd clinical
September 25 last tysabri treatment and delivery of Kesimpta and sharps bin
October 25 start Kesimpta 3 weeks after final Tysabri treatment
I think I’ve been really lucky with side effects as they’ve been really mild. Not sure if it’s just because it’s less than tysabri was for me. Just had some chills and aches across my back
The injections have been really easy so far and the Kesimpta nurse has rang me after each one. I am now 4 doses in and feeling so much lighter than having to go into the hospital every 4 weeks. I am really hoping this is going to be a great move for me and I hope this post helps someone out if they’re looking to change
