Hi I’m new on here 👋🏽

Hiya , I’ve lived with MS for around 13/14 years now. Have been on Tysabri now for about 4 years. It’s been a dream as it stopped my relapses almost immediately and I’ve had barely any side effects. However I am concerned about PML as I am JCV+ , so am considering changing to either Ocrevus or Kesimpta, If anyone has any experiences with either of these or any advice or would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya,

I’ve been on kesimpta since October 2024 and this is my first DMT. It’s easy and convenient as you do it yourself, I found after the 3 rd loading dose I felt like I had a cold but this cleared up a few days later. :crossed_fingers:I’ve been infection free, and have had good results from blood test at 3 months. My fatigue is starting to improve, but that could also be a combination of the weather as well. As I’m more affected by the cold in the winter, uk summers are quite hit and miss weather wise. So far I’ve not experienced a major relapse, and this is the longest I’ve gone since diagnosis so I take that as a positive.
Hope this help you.

Thanks and I’m so glad you’re doing well. It’s such a relief when u find something
that works, I hope it stays that way.
Tysabri has been amazing and I don’t really want to change. I know many people have been on it for years and are absolutely fine. Sometimes I just get a bit of a worry head on and would like something where the risks aren’t so drastic. I know there are side effects with all meds there’s never a simple solution.
But thanks for your experience. I will definatly be talking to my MS nurse about my options.

Thank you, and I really hope so.
It’s very unfortunate when that happens, but you’ve got to do what’s right for you. Yes we are all different and our bodies deal with these medications in different ways. I wish you well in your next step and hope it works well for you too. x

well come

I am sorry that you have to consider coming off s drug that works so well. What is your dosing regimen? I expect you’re on 6-weekly already to manage down the PML risk?
