Kesimpta offered, any advice

Hi all
During a recent visit with my Neurologist it was suggested that I would be soon offered a DMT. He mentioned Kesimpta but also that it wouldn’t be his decision alone and it would be decided between himself and other consultants.
Can anybody offer any up to date experiences or advice on using this drug in case I do get the go ahead with it.
Everything MS related is still all new to me so any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi,I have been on kesimpta for a while now, I am doing well on it,once a month injection, just headaches and a little fatigue for a few days after I inject.Seems to be holding me stable, don’t know if that helps. Don’t worry about starting it ,it’s a guessing game with MS we just have to keep fighting.

I’m still waiting but I have an appointment with neurology on Friday.
I only had my Lumbar Puncture on Thursday so we will see what happens.

I’m on Kesimpta which I have been for about 3 months now. My neurologist offered me 4 different medications and this one had 66% reduction in potential flare ups and only have to take once a month. They also had to talk to other specialists about my choice.

The first few weeks I had to take it every week then every month. The first time I felt ill after which the nurse warned me and took it easy. After that I have been ok, maybe a sensitive head but I take it before bed and with some painkillers just on case. So far I’ve had no issues and would recommend but again not been taking it long.

I also had the lumber puncture. The procedure was quick and not that painful it’s the aftermath which can last a few weeks. Make sure to drink plenty of caffeine and lay down if you get a headache. The NHS information was terrible and wish I knew this about the lumber puncture lasting as long as it did.

Hi thanks for that information. My actual Lumbar Puncture was fine and I just had a mild back ache and headaches for a while.
Ever since though I have been suffering with insomnia for the past week.
Did you or anyone else get this ???
