Copaxone advice please

Hi all
Long time since I last posted, Things have been moving but very slowly.
I have been approved for Kesimpta or Mavenclad.
I accepted the offer on the Kesimpta but my pre blood checks prior to starting showed up a litle issue. This has delayed things but I have been offered Copaxone as a short term DMT until my blood issue is sorted. It is due to be delivered on thursday and hopefully started once my MS nurse makes arrangements for my first injection / instruction.
Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards to all
Dave

I was on Copaxone for a few years. Doing the first injection I really found difficult, but after I’d done it it was a bit of an anticlimax as the needle is so fine you can barely feel it. I had occasionall problems with some swelling and discomfort at the injection site, but I got a brilliant bit of advice from someone which was to put something cold over the site straightaway and hold it there for a minute or so. It worked a treat, I used to use A slate drinks coaster. You shouldn’t reuse the same injection site for three or four days, so I used to have a weekly planner so I would know where to jab. I didn’t really have any problems with the injections, I even used to take them on holiday with me together with a letter from my consultant in case anybody needed to question them.

Thanks,
Sounds like a useful tip to try.
Fingers crossed for no issues
regards
Dave
