Struggling after losing my husband

Hi I was diagnosed with MS in 2005. I lost my husband last year less than 3 months after being diagnosed with cancer. We had been married 37 years and he worked from home so were together all the time. I am feeling so lost and heartbroken. On top of the grief are the problems trying to cope with my MS without him. Is there any one else who has lost their partner who inderstands how I am feeling.

Hi there. I really feel for you sweetheart.

My greatest dread is losing my husband of 51 years. \I am almost fully dependent on him and carers.

Have you thought about joining a bereavement group?

Hi there. i really do know just how you are feeling as my husband and soulmate died ten years ago after 43 years of a very happy marriage. I now feel as if part of me is missing and although the pain of loss is not so severe now I am still grieving. It is hard to carry on without the one you love but I do my best as I’m sure he would not have been happy to see
me give up.
It is hard but we widows (how I hate that word) must make the most of all life throws at us for their sakes and carry on.
Grief is different for everyone and it is awful but it’s the price we have to pay for love.
Sending you loads of hugs, Essie xx
