Sound sensitivity

Ok so started to get sound sensitivity it started about week ago and it’s hasn’t stopped since to make matters worse my next is being noiser than they normally are it’s driving me mad and still not diagnosed

Hi Msghost88

I’ve had sound sensitivity for as long as I can remember. My husband is particularly noisy, sometimes to the point where I wear noise cancelling headphones - which are the best thing quite frankly. I find wearing headphones when watching tv, films etc. is way better than getting stressed out at hubby or neighbours being noisy. I sometimes wear them at work as well, in order to concentrate on stuff.

i try those calmer things but there crap dont stay in unless force them which danger for ears and secondly doesnt drown out kids screaming or load banging so give up just going wiat for diagnose as cant live like this

A late comment - there are over the ear ( not inserted into the ear) noise cancelling headphones. I’m still not totally sure how they work but somehow or another they actively cancel out external sounds (I think these are what ThereseB was referring to)
