Shooting Pain IN Big Toe!

I’m undiagnosed but was wondering if anyone else gets this. For the last 24 hours I have been experiencing a very sharp shooting pain in my toe, I take gaberpentin but nothing seems to help with the pain. Can anyone help?

Sounds like it probably could be gout? Anne x.

May I humbly suggest that if it continues you take a trip and visit your gp. You haven’t said if you are seeing a neuro’ or even if you have a ms nurse, so it’s hard to make a comment as it could be anything causing it.

I am currently living and working in Spain but am coming back to UK at the end of the month. Have seen the MS Specialist here twice since October, have some brain lesions, 1 cervical spine lesion, positive lumbar puncture and positive VEP but no dx.First thing I will be doing when I come back is go to my GP but hopefully this pain in my toe will have gone. Thank you for your replies. Kim x

Hello Kim,

Years before I was dx I kept getting the most awful pain in my feet, shooting pains and then the whole of my feet were really painful, I saw my doc’ and he said I had gout, as it turns out it wasn’t it was ms. So I wish you the very best and hope you get it sorted out sooner rather than later. Take care.
