PAINFULL FEET

Been having really painfull feet/legs for about 3 months and is getting worse. So went to see gp as wasnt convinced it was anything to do with my MS as i havent had symptoms this severe or for this long and any pain was more of electric pain but this feels like Iv been dancing all night in shoes that are 2 or 3 sizes too small ( I havent by the way) Seen My gp 3 times and hasnt even looked at my feet, just keeps fobbing me off. So spoke to my MS Nurse who said straight away it was to do with the MS. Has anyone else experienced this pain??

hi

i also get sore feet if a walk to long…just guessed it was another thing to add to list

I am often sitting looking at my bare feet thinking how odd that they feel like they are jammed into shoes that are too small.

My feet feel like this all the time not just when I have been walking or exercising

God thank god someone has posted this.I have suffered on and off of this for years.Thought it was my shoes. The burning starts on the ball of my feet, they get really hot and red.The pain is unbearable, very hard to walk, and all you want to do is put your feet in icy cold water.I think it is something to do with the nerve endings but i might be wrong.

Hope u start to feel better soon

Hi,

Yep, me too, my feet are very painful, yet strangely enough they also feel numb at the same time…if that makes any sense! I’m not dx yet btw.

Wendy.

Yep- I’ve had this sometimes as well and can be very annoying, felt as if i was standing on barbed wire…haven’t had it for ages mind you…

Yep, same as Wendy, painful but numb at the same time.

Hi Kimbo. I feel it like a lit fire under my feet. All the time. Unfortunately it gets worse. I spend all night with my feet out of the bed covers, cant stand anything touching them. Daytime, not much better. Feet burning all the time. Sos mate even with medication it doesnt get better. Tracey xx

Wow thanks guys for all your replies. feet and legs also numb, so for the short breaks of no pain the numbness feelings seem to be amplified. Waiting for an appointment now with neuro. Hope i Dont have to wait too long its affecting my walking now and stopping me from doing stuff.

Big Huggs to you all

Kim

Sounds like the problems you all have are due to lesions/inflammation somewhere in your brain which are causing sensory input to be mis-interpretted as pain.I suggest trying to alter the sensory input so that there is less pain.

I haven’t worn socks for six years, wear size 10 boots, even though my feet are size 8 in theory. ‘Painkillers’ for neuropathetic pain, opiate based painkillers and cannabanoid based drugs may help.I’ve got different types of all three and play ‘Pick’n’Mix’ to try and alleviate the apalling pain I have in my feet and lower legs.

Oops, fearly norgot that judicious use of booze may help as well.

Cheers, Wb
