Hi everyone! I’m suffering soo much right now. Last week I’d felt really unwell but I can only describe the unwellness as inside a few days after my legs went heavy and weak. I’d sit down and it would feel like my legs aren’t there but would have tingling? Now they are still the same but with chronic pain throbbing feet, serious aching through all the leg on both? Anyone felt this? In on amtriplyen and dehydrocodeine but it doesn’t help much I’m so scared! I’m 22 and using a walking stick and can’t do anything xxx
Hi yes I have very painful legs they ache all the time, never have a rest from the pain. Even in bed trying to sleep they are so restless and twitchy. They feel numb, heavy and weak very strange goings on!!!
Feel like a O A P!!! Takes me ages to walk up the stairs.

I am undiagnosed but had the most shocking limb pain…arms and legs I was on 900mg x3 gabapentin, 20mg a night amitryptyline, cocodomol and the odd spoonful of oral morphine.
It has calmed down a little after 6 months and replaced by more neurological symptoms like electric shock goosebumps which I find far easier to deal with than that excruciating pain.
Really tied me to the bed for months on end, I am so sorry for you
Gillian
ps i think the meds made me a bit spaced out but it was easier to deal with than the pain
My legs more so my L then R isn’t great and I have pain on/off usually worse at night. Its so bad I feel like crying sometimes so I can sympthise Poppyford. Also completely agree with Jan pain, with twithy, crawling, restlessness. That with my bladder means there are times I’m up 5 times a night which isn’t great. I feel i spend more time waking up than asleep sometimes. I am no meds really aside from co-codamol which takes the edge off but it never completely goes.
Hope you feel better soon.

Poppybyford…I forgot to say…It is scary and I’m in my forties.
I lay and cried silent tears for the first time in my life the pain was so overwhelming.
I have a lovely GP who kept checking for signs of depression, which can result from this type of pain so keep in touch with your doctor. I was able to tell my doc how scary it was which really helped as she’s known me a long time.
And light at the end of the tunnel, mine has really calmed down.
Sending a virtual (((((hug)))))
ps Reemz I really take my hat off that you are getting through on cocodomol.( I have been taking every pill on offer )
Thankyou to everyone who has replied! Im really grateful. I just dont know what to do anymore… my neuro says its dysfunctional disorder when i know its more than tht! Im asking for a second opinion but its taking months to even recieve the letter from the first neuro. I have to look after my mum who has MS but im struggling i feel so unwell all the time, and im in so much pain. Having to use a stick to take my weight off my legs because of the pain but im on little and weigh 8 stone… madness. My doctor wont take me seriously and says anxiety and depression… Ive suffered both for years admittly BUT i know the difference ive got more experience than all the doctors put together. Sounds wrong and im scared im going to go off my legs and be alone and disabled. xxxxx

Like you I suffer from leg pain (mostly thigh and buttock). I also have all sorts of odd sensations and really suffer badly with muscle fatigue and stiffness that comes on along with the heavy/numb/tense sensation very similar to what you describe above, I can only walk a couple of 100 metres before this is so severe I have to sit down or I’d fall down.
You’re not alone, I would speak to your Gp about other medication that might help your symptoms.
Thankyou! I actually saw my gp today he did some more tests and said i have very brisk reflexs and weak arms and legs, he has now referred me for a second opinion so fingers crossed for an answer xxx
