have been seeing a stress councillor for a few weeks now because of ongoing hassle at work. On her suggestion I’ve been referred to a woman in remploy whos is apparently excellent in dealing with people in my situation.
Not really sure what she can do for me, has anyone dealt with remploy before?
have you tried access to work, and also ACAS and Equality and Human Rights Commission? Access to work can give grants for equipment and support at work and to get you to work, and the other two will help you out with the law and tell you your rights and if need be EHRC will intervene.
and one more thing… if you are off work with stress caused by work where they have not made reasonable adjustments, thats industrial injury… record everything, use the grievance procedure by the book and be prepared to go to tribunal. You only have 3 months minus one day to start the ball rolling on that from the minute the issue arrises where the boss wont take action to help once notified of the problem.
thanks for the replies. It’s as a result of bullying at work that I’m seeing councillor. (Bullied because I have ms!!)
As I understand it councillor referred me because she can’t get involved in the grievance but this woman from Remploy can, and apparently is really good at dealing with my type of case.
Hope she is, because the dreaded grievance meeting is next wednesday, when I will have to sit opposite the bully and sapeak about the hell and misery she has put me through.
Today leaving work, in the car park she called me a bitch in front of my 11 year old daughter!! Am really hoping the cctv picked it up because if it escalates any more I’m going to take it ti the police!
Sorry for the rant but am really p**sed off at feeling so intimidated by this woman, and how dare she say that i front of my child!
