it takes you to flicker you would be better using youtube its free and you can build a channel. i love the woodpecker this is the same i had on my feeders lol. xxx
Your woodpeckers are lovely Mick. Iāve always loved your photos and the vids are gorgeous.
Clearly the New Forest is providing you with lots of wildlife.
Happy rainy solstice.

Thanks CC my Flickr account is also free - up to 1000 files (I have 16 free ones left!) I might look into Youtube
Thanks Sue, I am constantly thrilled to see the visitors to the feeders even the odd rat or squirrel, although if they scare the birds off I will shoot them with my trusty water-pistol . I am new to fiddling with video so it is another thing to try and learn about.

Do you keep your sidearm in a holster? I will be utterly disappointed if not!!
Oh yes, a serious weapon. Brings out the Milky Bar Kid in every man!
This is great, Mick! Iāve been hoping youād post more birds.
CC just informed me that you donāt have hummingbirds, and I was so shocked that I had to Google it. I wasnāt really doubting you, CC. Iām still speechless. You have so much fun wildlife over there that it never occurred to me that you wouldnāt have hummingbirds.
If we had foxes coming up to the house, weād have to shoot them, and if someone found a hedgehog in the yard, it would mean the animal authorities would be looking for someone to arrest.
Cheers,
I took a photo of a massive jackdaw that was flapping like crazy to stay on the fence. I put the picture into a wildlife ID app and it said I had seen the first hummingbird in Dorset!!! so much for computers and AI technology. (made me laugh though)
I do see some amazing images of hummingbirds posted by virtual friends on Flickr Search: hummingbirds | Flickr

who thought Iād have to wait until my late 50s to get a half decent water-pistol?
lol. I bought some last year to entertain some kids Iād never met during a picnic we were having. The girl was aiming for her brother and got me right in the middle of the chest. She was so embarrassed until I laughed. It was a hot day, and it felt pretty good!
Whoād have thought it took until you reached your late 50s to come up with the words: āa half decent water-pistolā? What does a less than half decent water-pistol look like?
And does it make you feel like a real man toting such a mighty weapon? I imagine the squirrels quiver with fear when they see you approaching! Just imagine, you could one day aspire to a potato gun. Now that would be impressive!
Sue
Hmmm sadly the squirrels have an almost feline level of contempt for me an my āmighty weaponā He did scamper off into the tree once, only to come back 5 minutes later and sneered when I doused him again. A mate of mine said they only respond to lethal force! As I am a wuss, I tend to let them get on with it. I did once get him with the garden hose which seemed to bother him a little more but he just came back after I went indoors. Git
Now just imagine what the great AD would have said in response! First, heād have laughed at your pathetic efforts to master the wildlife in The Forest.
Then heād have appreciated the superiority of the feline.
Finally, heād have found some way of exploiting your pathetic efforts of mastering control of the wildlife in your locale. An advertisement for rodent control and/or building up the natural defences of the avian population in your patch of forest might well follow.
Sue
How very true. Your comment struck a poignant chord. The end result was me smiling. Thank you.
My preferred responses to AD sales pitches usually involved swarfega Brillo pads or cheeseā¦ Iām still smiling
