On Monday I had my weekly outing with my carer…the lovely Best Bev you all know (well ok, some of you).
Hubby had suggested I start the christmas pressie shopping…get it done before;
we get a lockdown
2.shops get crowded
things get scarce
Right so off we went…visor instead of mask this week…
We did a lot in Primani, TKMax and The Works.
I always carry a bottle of water with me and kept trying to suck at the straw through the visor…it doesnt work!
I couldnt understand why so many candles have no smell…none do through a visor do they!
Purple Tuesday
Do you know it is a set aside day for disabled shoppers? I believe it`s early November. Do the shops know this? Do they fiddlesticks!
I asked shop assistants. They looked at me blank…like I had 2 heads. (I do actually, the 1 I show the world and the 1 I keep for me).
I asked in The Works ( a shop whose merchandise I love, but they like to narrow their aisles the further you get in), for some double sided tape. Shes a new assistant and replied very uncaringly, Its upstairs.
I guess she didnt notice my wheelchair…somehow! I asked her if she could bring some for me. Not happy at that, she wasnt!
She almost flung it at me!
Oh well, maybe she`ll get the sack after Christmas./
Anyroad guys and gals…I completed my shopping…all done! And it`s still October. Show off!!!
You should’ve thrown the water bottle at her. Of course, that would have then gotten you kicked out of the store, but at least it might’ve made you feel better!
I’m about halfway done with my shopping, mostly because I do the bulk of it online. Finding the money for it’s another matter.
So Poll, I’m with you, done and some wrapping to, I always start early, do most of mine online now, do not like going into shops, to stressful…bloody cheek of shop assistant, I would have had something to say.
Went to do my fortnightly shop this morning parked in the disabled bay, only to be told I didn’t look disabled and to please move elsewhere. So me being me pointed out that the click and collect vans parked in the disabled bays didn’t look disabled either so perhaps he would be better off asking them to move.
Needless to say a complaint went to head office and I shopped elsewhere.
