I have just taken delivery and used it a couple of times. I am very happy with it’s performance as a first time user. I have read the instructions and it says that it should not be operated in the rain. This cannot be correct, especially given the unpredictable precipitation in this country. Is it correct to assume that it is OK to operate and leave for short periods (ie outside a coffee shop) in the rain? I am hoping a little water resistance is built in. It is kept in a dry garage, I am not expecting to store it outside.
You can buy a cover that will fit over the controls from mobility shops or online. I think mine was about £12.99 I keep a plastic bag handy for heavy showers, just tie it round the front bit where the key and dials are - but on the whole a drop of rain will do it no harm. Enjoy your new scooter!
I think they are being over cautious because they don’t want to give a wet weather guarantee. It says the same on my instructions (Sterling Emerald) but you are exactly right – it can’t be helped getting caught in the rain in this country.
I tend not to go out on mine if it’s raining (but that’s to do with me not wanting to get wet) but if I get caught in a shower, it can’t be avoided. I would think twice about leaving it stood outside in the rain but you can buy covers. The cheaper ones are best for temporary wet storage. You will at least want to cover the seat if you leave it in the rain or you will come back to sit in a puddle – wet bum not so nice!
Enjoy your new freedom

Hi
I am student researching about MS for a school project and i was just wondering if anyone knows about any aids or equipment that can help MS sufferers communicate with each other.
Thank you
