Congratulations. It’s great that you got high rate on both components.

Good news Carole.

I’ve got a home assessment on 21st Feb (Capita), feeling quite anxious!

Hiya

Great news! They seem to be making their decisions quite fast when they have all their bits and bobs.

Did you have an assessment by anyone?

Marty

Happy, happy days Carole. I’m so pleased for you!

(Just hoping mine is as good. It’s a nervous wait!)

Sue

argh! brain fog was a pea souper this morning.

i misread the letter.

it was just the annual letter of entitlement to DLA.

i feel so stupid now.

so still awaiting the outcome of my application for pip.

carole x

get someone else to read your mail in case your fog is thick!

Oh bums! We got all excited, just like you, when we read the wonderful news.

But we have to keep hoping your new PIP award will be just as good.

Oh buggering buggering ballcocks.

What an absolute load of old crap.

I’m sorry Carole. Will keep the old fingers crossed that it happens for real like you thought it had.

Carole,

What a pain. I’m just filling in the PIP form. Typing all the information as easier than trying to hold a pen and I can add things in as I think of them. So much to do. I’ve always kept a book with all my symptoms so makes it easier.

Will keep my fingers crossed for you, as much I can!

Whoops!

Still the best things come to those that wait - hopefully not too long!

Marty

thanks and good luck when your time comes

I got my DLA letter on Saturday and there is a page on it saying how all is changing to PIP - so just have to wait and see what they do over here in Northern Ireland

Oh bless you, but i am sure you will get enhanced in both hun, i cant see why not. I had my answer 2 weeks after my assessment, enhanced in both. Its a long letter you get and it explains why you got what you get. Good luck. xxx P.S i am better off now on PIP.

Hey everyone I’m new here not sure I know how this works, I’ve never been in a forum before,

I was diagnosed with ms two years ago, who said life began at forty eh!!

I was awarded pip the lowest rate for both (I also have ocd), I’ve got my second assessment on Wednesday and I feel really nervous, worse than last time, my anxiety levels are through the roof, even though I have more symptoms this time,

as I’m typing this my legs and feet are freezing and my body is warm.

I get burning shoulders and neck from time to time and stiff legs and back if I’ve walked to far.

I was diagnosed with vasovagal only last week after loads of tests, I feel like I’m going down hill fast.

I just thought I would write on here for a bit of support, nobody I know has ms and I don’t feel like my friends and family understand.

I get higher rates at the moment is there any changes in amount of money with PIP ? do we get less?

XXX Don

Not sure Hopperty, the government website does have the rates on. I’m awaiting my dreaded form at the moment, all I can think about to be honest. Pjday has given brilliant info in previous posts, I plan to follow it to the letter. Ive already started requesting info from my specialists, Drs etc. Good luck to everyone else waiting/ doing theirs at the moment, hopefully we will all have a good outcome Tracey x

Hiya Don

Yes. The higher rates are the same.

Don’t forget a nice 1% rise in April. An extra pound or two a week for you.
