Pins and needles

Hi I’m new to the forum (Has had MS for 4 years)

My doctor has signed me off for a month due to a relapes. I have pins and needles in my hands, body and toes, i can’t write and i can’t hold my phone or knife and folk for long, I’ve had this symptom before but it wasn’t as bad. My doctor gave me Duloxetine, has anyone used this and has it helped and is there anything else that can help me deal with this none stop pins and needles? I’m bored at home so feel free to message me anytime.

Stay stronge

hiya

noticed u have had no replies…

pins and needles very common.

duloxetine i recognise as an anti depressant but perhaps used in the same way as amitriptyline. at lower doses helps with nerve pain.

sometimes either heat or cold helps-everyone diff (again)

i used to get pins/needles but after further damage i am numb. which is easier in one way-rather than the constant changes.

take care, med might take a few days/weeks to have any effect.

I got it from my worst relapse and have now been left with it in both hands permantly. Going on 2 years come october! nothing works for me

I did have the pins and needles but thats seems to have settled down now, maybe due to my pregabalin…? I do have on off problems with my hands though which is so frustrating isn’t it, especially when you have a form to fill out… I didn’t find anything helped with my pins and needles at the time though…
