Onion Bhaji

I might do this tonight as I have all these spices in. I bought a 500g box of chickpea flour this week and this recipe was on the box.

150g of flour. 1 large onion, quartered and sliced. 1tsp ground turmeric. 1tsp ground cumin. 1tsp ground coriander. 1 tsp ground garam masala. 10-12 tbsp water3-4 tbsp vegetable oil.

Mix the flour and spices in a bowl

add water to make a paste

add the onion, mix well

Heat the oil in a frying pan. Add medium sized scoops of the batter until crisp.

Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot or cold.

I’ll add chilli, but that’s me.

Wine.

Yummy with natural Yogourt

Yes, brilliant. I’m having it with some yellow potato, cooked in coconut milk and turmeric with onion and cardamums.

Oh, it’s lovely!

What time will it be ready? Lol

Glass first! Then the kitchen beckons. half hour?

Sounds scrummy

I’ve got pizza and salad tonight - a bit of a tradition on Saturday nights, ever since they started running the 9 p.m. foreign dramas, on BBC4.

The last EVER episodes of The Killing tonight, so I shall want to make sure I’m installed in front of the telly, with my food and drink, in time for the start.

I’ve been enjoying the other dramas that have occupied the same slot, but The Killing is still my favourite. Montalbano was enjoyable, for different reasons, but beginning to get a bit samey.

Hi Tina

I think maybe I should get telly. I haven’t had it since Camberley went digital and I threw my old one out.

So, it’s music. I have lots to choose from. Maybe Bartok or Gorecki.

Hi Tina , me and hubby both love all the ScandInavian thrillers love wallander as well. This is the last series of the Killing hope they don’t kill her off. We won free tickets last year to a Scandinavian show at earls court and met the actors from the Killing, she is tiny. Enjoy the last episodes tonight, I can’t wait to see what happens!! Oh and Mark I too make my own onion bhajis so much nicer than bought ones and so easy to make. Karen x

hey, seeing as the toad story has just about dried up, shall we play Come Dine With Me?

I do watch this tv prog and it can be quite entertaining (no pun intended there).

we can introduce ourselves (made up or real) and see how it goes.

I`ll kick start it off…
