I was the 1st customer at my hairdressers yesterday morning at 9am, thank goodness, as I have short hair, that was no longer short, I also have it coloured, but yesterday I decided to embrace my grey, so only had the cut and I love it, should have done it years ago, so that’s a positve after lockdown, anyone else had their’s done yet ?

Hi Jean, I can just imagine how good it feels to get a haircut. I have an appointment on 28th…can`t come soon enough…I am currently carrying a huge bushy mop of hair…hate it.
I like to keep it fairly short as it is so curly/wavy. Carer still colours it for me.
I wont be embracing my grey…dont like it. My sis has let her`s go au naturel and it is a lovely shade of steel grey. Looks so nice.
Hair colouring is a pain but has to be done for me! Great that you like your`s.

I cut my own hair and i used to colour it too but i have decided to not colour it anymore,as its getting harder to do.
I’m just letting my mad mop do it’s own thing. It was extremely short, grows like weeds and I was already getting sick of having to get it cut every 5 or so weeks. It’s now at the stage of just about almost looking OK. I still wake up looking like Einstein or Groucho Marx every day, but manage to get it just about under control. And I’m letting grey just happen if it likes. Mostly it doesn’t show up too much. There’s just too much hair!!
Eventually (probably only be another month or so), it will look fine. This has been the pattern everytime I decide to just let it grow again. My hairdresser reopened yesterday but I suspect they’re going to be so busy they won’t miss my regular shearing!

Thanks for all your replies, I decided for me that spending 2.5hrs in the hairdressers was just too tiring, it knocked me up for days, the lockdown was the perfect chance for me, but for those who don’t fancy it yet I can understand. Take care all, x x
