numb lower lip and chin

Hi. I’m not diagnosed yet and until now have only had symptoms affecting my right arm and leg. For the last few days I have had a numb feeling affecting the left side of my lower lip and chin along to the angle of my jaw. This feels very odd. Could this be related to the other symptoms of MS or do you think it is totally unrelated?

Thanks

Numbness is common in MS. Where it is can help identify the nerve that is damaged. I think that the mandibular branch of the trigeminal nerve (the 5th cranial nerve) controls sensory information to the lip and chin.

It’s a clue to what’s going on - make sure you tell your neuro.
