not ms related but worrying me

Hi peeps, Are there any more scottish nationals living outside of scotland that are worried about the impact the vote for independence will have in them ? It could possibly destroy my family and financially cripple us so I am crossing my fingers for a ‘no’ vote and doing all the research I can in the meantime ! Krissy

I will def be voting no. Seriously hope they don’t go all brave heart and think with their brains!

Totally hun its scarey! Mt husband and stepson are scottish and would automatically have scottish citizenship making them migrants in this country ! Scarey stuff Krissy x

Salmond hasn’t thought this through and the good people of Scotland will realise and vote NO to independence. No £, no automatic EU membership and no State Pension so all in all it’s beginning to crumble around him, still he had a lovely time at the Ryder Cup!

Though the eu and Britain for my town wasn’t good. They sold the fishermen out big time. Don’t get me started on it lol. But I think as a whe the damage is done so just stay as we are

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

I understand the reasons and really sorry about No.2, but please don’t go.

I’m really hoping that the good people of Scotland see sense and vote no. My biggest worry is that many people won’t make the effort to actually go out and place their vote which will mean that the result will not be a true representation of what Scotland actually wants. I don’t know if it’s just the social circle I am in but I have yet to meet someone who will be voting yes in September. A M

Hi, I’m a Scottish national living in England and have for quite some time. I live with an Englishman. Ninety per cent of my family still live in Scotland and the other ten per cent live in England. I am extremely patriotic regarding Scotland and am proud to be Scottish. My cousins, who still live in Scotland, call me treasonous because I’ve always said that Scotland should be given independance and they do not agree (but are Scottish first and foremost). My partner always says that we should be given independance and we should all be repatriated and the only reason the Scots came to England was to nick English jobs and have all the benefits that England has. With the current UK Government I can quite see why Scotland would want independance. Lets face it, this Government is only interested in maintaining the wealthy and is certainly not helping us disabled and less fortunate voters. Scotland as a whole will vote against independance so there really is no need to be worried, it certainly will never happen in our lifetime.

Totally agree with you about this government. I for one can’t wait to vote them out ! Thank you all for your replies I feel a lot more assured. My husband did say to me that Salmond is a muppet and the people wont be hoodwinked. Krissy x

I think everyone who is voting no should really look at the facts before doing so, scare tactics from westminster as usual although not surprising, very good page on facebook, scotlands big yes/no debate, fair and well articulated points from both sides, very much worth a read
