hi all, looking for some advice from you knowledgable people.
I had my knee replacement two months ago, it is still painful although less than it was. Mobility is still poor but working on it. Over the last couple of weeks I have started having spasms in my operated leg. They are painful and they happen 6 or 7 times a night waking me up. So I’m not getting much sleep at the moment.
I take Baclofen at 10mg twice a day but it doesn’t seem to be doing much good at the moment. Any advice?
thanks
Sharon
I find magnesium spray helps me immensely.

I also use magnesium spray but I’ve also found now that I’ve been on biotin for sometime my nighttime spasms have eventually stopped.

Hi Poppy and Nina seem to have hit on a helpful idea. Are you going to try it?
I found quinine helps, but docs are not so eager to offer it now as it can cause a heart problem! I`m steering clear of it now.
I used to take a high dose of baclofen for spasms.
My night spasms are much reduced now so dont take it now.

I’ve found Sainsbury’s Magnesium & Vitamin B6 is very effective. It’s stopped my spasms and cramps almost completely.

Thanks everyone, certainly seems as though magnesium is the way to go so I’ll definitely give it a try. I knew I’d get some suggestions. Thanks everyone and have a good Christmas.
