I have been diagnosed with RR MS in August. It was a complete shock and I’m still trying to come to terms with it. I haven’t really spoken to anyone about it apart from my family, but tbh I dont think they really understand. I have good days and bad days but I dont really understand what’s happening as I’ve lived with these symptoms for so long thinking it was menopause. I have tried to change my diet, which is quite healthy anyway, but I’m struggling with giving up vaping. I also want to join a group that meets face to face so I can talk to people that understand. I have already started Ocrevus.
Hi there,
You might find it helpful to see if there is a local MS Society group for your area. The one where I live is quite active and meets a few times each month plus offers free exercise classes and things. I have been along to one of the meet ups and the people were very friendly and welcoming. I’m going to the Christmas lunch next weekend.
I hope you find something that works for you

You can find groups through the mssociety web site. The one I used to attend shut down face to face meetings during those long ago COVID years and never reopened. There are two other nearby groups..nearby as in twenty miles away but unfortunately they are online only and don’t have physical meetings. I have found another one although it is quite a trek, but I enjoy the group and people who go there.. the coordinator, the volunteers who help out there and I especially like the other ms sufferers which go there. They’re lovely people and it’s a friendly group. Sending you best wishes that you find a similar group wherever you are @mrogers2
