Hi everyone. My name is Eilidh. I’m 25 and I got diagnosed with RRMS in September. It took a while for me to get a diagnosis and to be honest I feel very lost. I haven’t met anyone else round about my age with MS. I am very lucky and grateful as I have a great support system around me, however I do feel quite lonely not knowing anyone else with it. I’m hoping to meet some people who love a chat (it doesn’t have to be about MS but if it is that is ok too!). I’m trying to remain very positive so want to put myself out there.
Nice to meet you guys, in advance!

Hello Eilidh. I am sorry about your diagnosis. It’s not good news at any age, but being so young is particularly harsh.
I hope that you are on the road to getting on a disease-modifying treatment to help keep you well.
Good luck with it all.

Hi Eilidh and welcome to the forum although sorry that you have joined the rest of us here with your ms diagnosis; a disease that none of us wanted. Wishing you all the best with your ms and hopefully you’ll be on one of the DMD’s soon enough, if your ms neurologist considers you suitable enough.

If you are looking to chat with people your own age, it might be worth taking a look at Shift.ms - Your MS Community, as they tend to have a younger membership.

There’s also mstogether.org @Eilidhb . They are for everyone but they’re essentially for people between 18 & 35. Think that their social events are for the younger sufferers with ms.

Hi there Eilidh and welcome to the forum. I’m pretty new here too and also got diagnosed in September. I’m 45.
I have found people on here to be very friendly and supportive.
It’s good to hear you have lots of support around you.
Do you know if there is an MS Society group local to you? I think you can search for your area on the website. They might have some younger members…..
Keep posting and letting us know how you are getting on

Hi Eilidh. My name is Eliza and I’m 27. I was diagnosed in March of 2024 with RRMS as well. I relate to feeling lost upon diagnosis and not knowing anyone my age with MS. I’m glad you’ve posted to this forum and I’m happy to chat anytime!
Hi @elizabethhyatt6808 there is a link above I posted in a previous message regarding younger people with ms. They are for everyone, but with a leaning towards the younger ms sufferers. Their social events are geared for the 18 to 35 age bracket.
