Tomorrow I am meeting with a new care agency…I said I would never use another, after 3 went sour on me.
But as my long term carer seems to have abandoned me … long story…we had a difference of opinion about covid and she walked out on 13th Novemeber… a Friday! Then she used every trick in the book to keep away ie isolating for son, isolating for husband, holiday, then sick for the past 5 weeks and has produced a sick note that seems odd. Her latest sick note is for 6 weeks!
Has anyone ever seen a sick note that says medical condition as reason for absence?
She told me she has arthritis of the spine, depression and anxiety…yet her 3 sicknotes dont mention any of those conditions.
I have a law employment consultant on the case. I cant sack her, as she is on the sick. Why the chuff she doesnt just admit she isnt up to the job anymore and resign?
I have advertised for a temp to cover her sick but not had any interest…hence the need to try an agency again.
agree with others - you could do without this aggro.
I knew of someone who was off work following a miscarriage but her sick note said ‘medical condition’ - it may be a term used to retain confidentiality ??
Nora, she isnt with an agency…she works directly for me.
Anyhoo, the agency lady came…seemed very knowledgable about disability…used to be a physio…we liked what she said and how she said it…so they start on Saturday.
