Hi all, I was hoping someone might be able to give me some advice. I am 4 months into a bad relapse and slowly recovering, I have been dx with rrms and am currently taking Rebif, however for the past week my right hand is very painful, I have a constant aching pain in it and if I touch anything with it or if it gets cold the pain is worse and it keeps me up during the night! Does anyone else experience similar and take anything to ease it?
Hello there. I suggest a trip to the GP,go easy if you shake hands,and humbly suggest GABAPENTIN for the relief of neuropathic pain,which is what your hand problem sounds like to me.There are other pills which may help you,but it may be that the GP will only prescribe stuff that the neurologist sanctions,but if it’s anything like Merseyside the neuros live in impenetrable ‘GP proof Ivory Towers’. PREBABALIN and AMITRYPTILINE(?) may also be on the menu.
