Today my LP was done (it was painful… But now it’s done so I am relieved haha)
The nurse got my spinal fluid after 30 mins…
Well now I was told I am going to receive a call probably on Friday telling me my results… I am really really scared…
As I have read, syphilis can produce oligoclonal bands as MS does.
I guess there are other ‘signals’ which indicate syphilis is the real origin of my problems (tingling, numbness, muscle pain, dizziness sometimes) well I am really convinced about it as my hand for example goes numb after 20 seconds holding my mobile phone… Then I shake it and that sensation disappears so it’s a little bit different to ms symptoms I think…
Maybe none can answer to me, but does anybody know if in LP there are more signals to know exactly if it is one thing or another…??
I will tell you my results soon… The waiting is quite bad… (I want to know it, and I don’t to… I don’t know if I am explaining myself jeje) @Ssssue
Poor you Sergio. Our bodies are so strange. O bands in CSF due to syphilis!! No wonder you worried that it was MS. Maybe on Friday you’ll at least have the full diagnosis, whatever the results, it will give you a way forward. Hopefully a positive one.

So have I got this right…a diagnosis of syphilis and not MS, means a cure is available? Or this there still a possibility that you also have MS?
