Hi Dewdrop, welcome to the board!

As others have said, it’s different for everyone. The best thing you can do is take it one day at a time.

Believe it or not, eventually MS does become ‘normal’. You will get used to it. But it takes time. Try and learn to ‘listen to your body’ so you learn what makes symptoms worse or better & recognise warning signs. Most of all, get lots of rest and avoid stress as much as possible, or think of ways to change situations are that stressful.

Nice to have you here. It’s a great board.

Thank you all for being so kind and replying to my post. It’s hard to talk to my family at the moment because we are all too emotional. I think my husband is in denial. Had a head MRI today. The next neurology visit is the 23 rd. I’m a dentist, snow queen. I work in general practice. What type of work do you do?

Hi Dewdrop,

This whole thing is hard especially because all our nearest and dearest struggle with it too. I work as a Sister in a Children’s Intensive Care Unit. Thankfully I changed roles to be the Education sister last year before all this happened, they say things happen for a reason. I am also a qualified Ski Instructor and use my annual leave to work for a company who take children skiing, not being able to complete the ski season this year was especially hard, probably more so because I am scared that I probably won’t be able to teach skiing anymore. Am very keen to start my Physio which I do on the 11th May.

Off to bed now as have a busy day tomorrow. Take care.
