This week, my lovely OH said, “you know I think I’ll go to Kwik-fit and get the front tyres sorted, they’re looking a bit worn”. I thought, don’t you need to phone Motability before hand? But he reckoned he didn’t. So today he took the car to Kwik-fit, they replaced all 4 tyres, no questions asked, no paperwork needed. Easy and over in a jiffy. They even gave him a cup of coffee. And of course it’s all paid for by Motability so couldn’t be improved upon.
So I thought, I should mention it to all you people with Motability cars, it would never (and I mean never!) have occurred to me that tyres need changing. And Motability are brilliant, but they don’t know how much you use the car so can’t remind you to get the tyres checked. And when disabled it’s quite easy to not think about or notice these things. Or maybe I mean when you pay very little attention to such things it’s easy.
So I thought I’d say, check your tyres. And when you do (if indeed you know what you’re looking at/for) it’s so easy to get them checked and replaced if necessary.
