Hi all, just wondering if anybody else has experience a tapping feeling? I get tingly pins and needles which can be quite hard hot and sharp but this new sensation in my right heel is really strange … It comes and goes and feels like somebody is tapping firmly and fast inside my heel? Anybody had anything similar?
Ive recently been back to gp after pins and needles took a turn for the worse and getting them In my back and neck when I look down … He is monitoring things and says he may send me back to neurology if things continue the same way …

Years before my diagnosis I had a sensation of a pneumatic drill was being used nearby. And recently I felt the entire bed was vibrating. Odd, but not worrying. It’s just another weird feeling to add to my collection.
What you call pins & needles I feel as a stinging nettle pain. At the same time I can’t type or do other fine movements like turning the pages of a newspaper because my fingers are numb.

Thank you Anthony, I’m hoping that the sensations start to calm and slow soon, I have just started gabapentin but am having to very slowly wean on to it to monitor any effects it may have in my baby - my doctor is confident any effect would be sleepiness so at the first sign I will either consider weaning off until I’m ready to stop feeding or stopping at that point…
I have different intensities of pins and needles ranging from a familiar not unpleasant tingle to as you accurately describe stinging.
the fluttering/twitching muscles are also driving me crazy … I was wondering if the tapping in my foot could be one of these muscle flutters at a more exaggerated dynamic than the one under my ribs/in eye.lid /upper lower arm/thigh??
