I JUST VOTED LABOUR.
For The Many, Not The Few
Have a good day!
Fay.
Absolutely!
Interesting exit poll, although I wonât be holding my breath.
It would appear that the strong and stable âvicars daughterâ (or opportunist u turner) has shot herself in the foot, what a shame that the UK is the collateral damage. I look forward to plenty more campaign rhetoric (BS)

Iâve never been so happy to be wrong.
Delighted!!
Two-party politics is back: 40% Labour 42% Conservatives
British politics has returned to a two-party system on the greatest scale since the 1970s.
This year the vote share was Conservative 42%, Labour 40%, Lib Dems 7%, UKIP 2% and the Greens 2%.
The SNP remain the largest party in Scotland but the Conservatives have won 12 seats off them so far, Labour have won seven and the Lib Dems three.
Another world is possible.
Fay
Unfortunately we are now facing a new World where our Government is now controlled by another small group of nutters who are either economically inept or fiscally corrupt who think that a priority political policy is to âSave Ulster From Sodomyâ. Nice!
Strong and Stable Theresa pledged that she wouldnât let Corbyn and a coalition of chaos take us back to the 1970s and, fair play to her, she hasnât. She has just formed a coalition with a group of unionists who have made the NI government unworkable and taken us back to 1690!
âŚjust imagine how much even better things would have been if only that Abbott woman would have kept her mouth shut!
I have no time for Abbott but she did get her biggest ever majority in Hackney last night so she is very popular with her constituents. I do think she is subjected to a lot of venom and hate - OK that is part of the deal for anyone in politics but I think the hate that has been flying in the last few days has been beyond acceptable. She is a buffoon and the idea of her as Shadow Home Secretary was ridiculous to me BUT I am thinking that she is genuinely ill at the moment (why pull her out so late in the campaign rather than just keep her out of the way). Possibly seriously ill. I am betting that in a month or so we will get an announcement about her resignation on ill health grounds (brain tumour I am guessing but I hope Iâm wrong)
People voted for the Labour Manifesto, which was very different from the Conservatives.
Many former UKIP voters - were old Labour - they went back to the Labour party - hence 3 million extra votes.
Hereâs a man whoâs describing the way a lot of us are feeling after hearing the election results. Warning: donât watch if youâre offended by bad language or have a lingering fondness for New Labour
Yep, those three Labour Governments were just terrible. Apart from the minimum wage, tax credits leaving a million fewer poor children, NHS funding raised to the EU average, massive school rebuilding, standards and teacher quality up, free museums and galleries, civil partnership, universal free nursery schooling, 3,500 SureStarts, one million fewer poor pensioners thanks to pension credit, a child trust fund, education maintenance allowance, the Freedom of Information Act â and the soon to be abolished Human Rights Act, nothing.
Er, peace in Northern Ireland?
Well, she got her wake up call and it didnât change her rhetoric. That speech in front of no 10 yesterday didnât even acknowledge the fact she had lost after calling for an increased mandate and a stronger hand to take to Brussels. She has proved herself to be incompetent and a one trick pony throughout the last eight weeks. Take away her script or deviate from her prepared path and she is lost. The EU will carve her up. As for jumping into bed with the DUP thereâs too much irony in that move to even have to comment.
They did some really, really good things, which you have listed. They also allowed the gap between rich and poor in this country to stretch to ridiculous lengths. Once you let that happen, you are going to see a huge fallout - people not being able to tell the difference between the Tories and Labour, people on the left not bothering to vote, people voting to leave the EU because they believe that is a way to get their voices heard. The Labour Party should always be, and always have been, the party for the many, not the few. In spite of all the things they did in office, Tony Blairâs lack of concern about the super rich made it a party for the few.
I donât know if this is a true story, but the scary thing is it could be true. Some years after her time in office, Margaret Thatcher was asked what she thought of as her greatest achievement. Her reply: Tony Blair.
I am not quite daft enough to think everything Blair did was wonderful, but after eighteen years of Tory rule it seemed like it at the time. My view is that any Labour Government is better than a Tory one, although more socialist values are always welcome.
Happily we are both on the same side.
OK, so (just like the Brexit vote) the sheeple have voted.
Less than half the country have voted for a Tory government.
Less than half the country have voted for a Socialist government.
This really means that over half the country were not happy with the choice they were offered (and it really was a one-or-the-other choice).
