Hi, Can anyone tell me if a linseed capsule is as effective as sprinkling it on food? Only I usually have it on my breakfast and don’t think I take anywhere near enough. Can you advise how much I should be taking. And does it have a good effect on m.s - also is flax seed the same? And any recommendations which one to use. Also anyone know any nice hot drinks to have de car type? I don’t drink a lot of caffeine. Thanks again guys x x x
Yes flax seed and linseed are both the same, I don’t know about the capsules I just have the seeds, I genarelly put 2 dessert spoons in a yogurt and get them down like that
Do I just but linseeds or do they have to be a particular type? Read some people ground them etc? Thanks x
Hi Lisa,
I had a chat with a GP yesterday in fact regarding diet and MS.
He said something about that the ‘fish oil’ are much better at being absorbed into the body than flaxseed oil. Not sure of the chemistry side of things sorry as memory gone AWOL again lol!
something about how the body breaks it down and does/doesn’t use it, or something like that.
I use the flaxseed capsules myself now, just for your info. Prob going to change that soon tho.

I just take the seeds when I get bungged up ( sorry TMI) I buy them from Holland and Barrett they are a burgendy colour little seed, I just mix them in a yogurt, I dont do anything else with them, I dont ground them or anything.
I might get the capsules and continue to have the linseed in my cereal. I take three vitamins a day inc fish oil so may as well add to this. Sure it can’t hurt. Thanks everyone. X
