I have had a bit of a rough time lately and just need to get it all out. I am currently dx with Fibro, various symptoms that have got worse since Aug 2011. Pain in arms, hips, knees, neck and back. Tingling, numbness, tremors, weakness, terrible headaches, fatigue, confusion, and many more. Ive has brain and cervical mri’s, both normal. chest Ct, Emg tests, blood tests, physio, accupunture. I was off long term sick from Aug 2011 until Jan 2012 and have recently been off again this time with work related stress and depression linked to my illness. i havent had the best support from work and spent around 7 months getting worse and worse physically and mentally without them doing anything until i was breaking down every day at work and crying. I am now on anti depressents as well as amytriptyline and tramadol and waiting for theraphy for depression and newly diagnosed OCD. Im back on a phased reurn and have a formal absense meeting this week. Im also waiting to see the work gp who is employed by axa( dont know if thats good or bad) and waiting a tribunal hearing for DLA. Ive just managed to get my employer to agree to reduce my hours to 30 a week and am strugling. im fed up with feeling crappy all the time and fighting everyting and it feels like everyone all the time. Sorry to go on but just needed to get it out.
Think we all have those, had enough of it all, moments. Hope its helped getting it all out? Its not great feeling like you’re battling the world. But i hope its at least a comfort to know you’re not alone?

((((Hugs Emma)))) and you’re not going on. My dear old mum used to say ‘better an empty house than a bad tenant’ - a saying which I frequently use myself, because it’s true! It’s worth contacting Access to Work who may be able to help with regards to making some changes in your workplace so things are easier for you on a day to day basis. If you type in Access to Work in the search engine on this website it brings up some options. There’s also a publication which you can download called ‘Working yet Worried Toolkit’ which you can find in the library / publication section. It’s worth looking at. With regards to your work, are there any changes you can implement yourself which could help - combined with others, even the smallest of changes can make a big difference. Remember that out of all this, it’s you which is the most important, so as Carole has said, seek out some proper advice. Knowledge is power! I hope everything starts to improve for you soon. Debbie xx p.s. apologies for the one large block of writing, I can’t separate paragraphs for some reason!
