Ideal holiday destination for wheelchair user

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a hoiday destination for a couple, one a wheelchair user ?

We’re in our mid 40’s like the sea, scenery, trying local food, exploring, not bothered about mad nightlife !

In our previous life we enjoyed festivals, loud music, dancing, camping and rowdy atmospheres.

However we’re not totally inexperienced,we have tavelled by air, ferry and car.

I’d apreciated any suggestions or advise.

Thanx

Try talking to Warrington Disability Partnership; 01925 240 064. They’re a local group who offer info and advice on loads of disability issues, and host a national Disability Awareness Day every year (it was yesterday).

Hi, I`ve done Blackpool a couple of times…stayed at The Bond hotel. They have hoists, electric beds, wet rooms etc and make everyone feel welcome. Food is good too. Cost £60 a day per person for half board.

Also stayed in a caravan at Filey, but dont recommend that sadly.

Let us know what you find, as I am looking for a different venue.
