Hi all, looking to take mum away for a couple of days to the seaside (North Yorkshire). Can anyone recommend any accommodation that will cater for us? Mum suffers from MS and is a wheelchair user and has no mobility, so everything from the bedroom to the bathroom to the area etc has to be wheelchair accessible/friendly.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance 
Hi, I’ve spent many hours researching this, as i am also a full time wheelie! I also need an electric bed and a hoist.
Ceiling hoists are best but not always available.
I’ve looked at Scarborough and Whitby, but there are no specialist hotels there. But there is a caravan with adaptations close to Whitby.
You could always hire the equipment, like i do, as long as the hotel lets you have it delivered and collected. They probably would.
There are 2 hotels in Blackpool, which are specialist and I have stayed at both.
I’ve also stayed at one in Llandudno, which is very good.

Butlns Skegness have disabled accommodation with hoists.
Know of one in Blackpool the Bond what is the other.
