I met two ATOS victims at the job centre today.

I went to the job centre with hubby to try and hurry up my ESA assessment because my Warm Front application hinges on a fast turnaround as they are only keeping current claims open for two weeks. I go nowhere, basically if I lose the grant it’s tough. I don’t have a working central heating boiler you see. But tough, they can take as long as they like. While there, two people joined me an both were there to sort out why they had been found fit for work by ATOS and their money stopped. One had a current GP certificate but had received a decision this morning that he was fit for work. BUT HE IS SIGNED OFF SICK BY HIS GP!!! The other lady won an appeal earlier on and continued to get benefits, only to be called back, reassessed and declared fit for work again. The Warm Front rep visited me this morning and told me that ATOS fail everybody but it makes no difference to Warm Front as they don’t take notice of them. ATOS are a living hell! Pat

Too true Pat. The whole thing is hell.

Pat x

i would have thought the government had got the hint already, theres thousands of people appealing there decisions and getting them reversed, its just a scam to cause as much stress as possible, atleast we know they are having to pay for it with appeals lol lol lol

Well my father in law wrote to his MP who is a Tory and he relied badly, ignore every single word he said and replied with “we are making a difference” kind of replies…

I have also got a letter signed off from work by my GP and my Neuro, but this is not good enough either.

One thing I do know is if there is a hell u know that is where they will be going, they will not understand that we would love to work really! but are all too sick to hold down a job…

I also went for a medical assessment at atos I took my dad an hour to drive me there and an hour home, waited an hour to be seem as they were running late (at 10am!!!) I was in there for 5 minutes asked if I use a mobile phone, watch tv, read books, have any pets, asked why I stopped working, to which my reply was I went numb from the waist down after a relapse, he didn’t want to see the medical report from my ms nurse, asked me to stand in front of him and put my hands in the positions he asked me to raised above my head etc. did that show him I had numbness in my legs fatigue and chronic neuropathic pain?? NO and yes apparently yes I am fit for work too! I was livid at the examination, it was useless and a total waste if time! Luckily after 8 months I have made a pretty good recovery from my relapse and have returned to work part time, I really feel for the people who cannot work and are let down by these monsters Atos!
