Hi everyone
I haven’t been on here for some time but I’m feeling the need to touch base today. I hope the rest of you have managed to get through the awful heat of last week. I’m hoping that Autumn and cooler days are just around the corner. The heat left me completely exhausted and unable to participate in any of my usual activities, not that I’m very active anyway. So…today I thought as the temp has dropped I’d try to attempt having a clean up in my very neglected kitchen. I managed about 45minutes and now I’m pooped. That’s me finishednuntil another day. Little steps I keep telling myself. At least I’ve achieved something even though I know I could have done far more than that a year ago. Depressing really but I’ll keep soldiering on. Coffee and afternoon telly is on the menu. Keep smiling. Xx
It’s interesting to hear how the hot weather has affected you. I have not yet seen a neurologist as my appointments keep getting cancelled, so I can’t say for sure I have MS, however the hot weather wipes me out. Ridiculous fatigue! My whole body, including my brain feels like it’s made of lead, or like someone has taken away my bones and I can’t stand. I always used to love the hot, summer weather until I got measles for the second time in my life 38 years ago when I was 25. Since then, hot weather and hot rooms have become an ordeal which completely deplete my energy. I’m really glad you are feeling a little better. Baby steps and plenty of rest. I hope you are back to your own, personal best soon xx
Thanks for your reply.
You sound the same as me to a tee!
Until a few years ago I used to lay out on a sun bed enjoying the hot weather but now I’m reduced to someone with jelly legs as soon as it starts to heat up.
Ive been diagnosed since 2006 with a slow progression but I’m struggling more recently. I hope you get the answers you are waiting for soon. X
