Hot feet - Cold Feet

Hi everybody,

Is this a common problem and if so any tips on how to deal with it?

My feet are like blocks of ice most of the time but when I go to bed they become uncomfortably hot and I have to try to sleep with my feet sticking out at end of quilt!!

Can’t ever seem to stay at a comfortable temperature.

Hi Marie I experience the same thing. My circulation seems to be pretty bad. Hope someone out there has some good advice! Karen x

Hi Marie

Snap! I would advise caution though as I ended up with chill blains last year when I kept sticking my feet out of the quilt and they clearly weren’t as hot as I thought they were!

One little tip I picked up from someone else on this forum was to keep a water bottle in the fridge and put that on my feet when they burn. As it is only cool and not freezing cold it does help to make them more comfortable so I can get back to sleep. I also keep a can of Magicool by the bed so I can give them a quick spritz - it saves going all the way down to the fridge in the middle of the night.

This winter things have changed a bit (possibly as I am on different medication now). My feet don’t seem to burn quite so much at night and I can get through most of the night before they bother me. If I do wake up with hot feet I only need to find a cool spot in bed. I’m making the most of this spell while it lasts …
