Hospitals

Hello good people.

An odd view of hospitals from the “urn” and a brief health update.

Best wishes.

I remember hospitals with that reputation yet the nurses were excellent! I had.my son in a now demolished hospital, in which we had afternoon tea, which was lovely! The new one is awful, you had to stay in a week, you weren’t just rushed out like now, they made sure you got at least one night’s good sleep!

Thanks for the read and hope you`re coping as best you can.

I dont have any bad hospital memories…only 1 or 2 unpleasant nursing staff…in each of the dozen or so times I`ve been admitted. But the good ones make up for it.

Im glad we have our NHS...just seen on fb that a fella in Seattle USA, got a bill for $1.1 million........he had covid19 and survived......chuff knows how hell pay his bill.

I’ve spent most of my adult life in a hospital, luckily as staff not a patient. Though the last few years roles were reversed and I haven’t enjoyed them nearly as much. I was recently encouraged to be admitted but with hospitals so busy i politely declined and passed my kidney stone safely at home. If women can have babies at home, why not?

The tea at home was much more abundant and there were varieties to my taste.

I must say that on the whole we are extremely lucky to have the nhs. I lived in south Africa for many years and the health system there is so expensive. The only way it’s better over there is your appointments, scans etc are done sooner. But if you’re willing to pay for them they’ll be done as quickly here and still won’t cost nearly as much as a year’s worth of medical aid. I think the level of care here well exceeds that over there too.

Take care
