Hi,does anybody else suffer from hip problems? Since my early 20s i have had a problem with my hip giving way,not all the time just out of the blue every so often although sometimes quite a lot and then it goes away for a bit.I am glad it only happens on one side though because i would fall down for sure if it was both hips.It is quite painful and makes me stop and have to adjust my position to get feeling again.
Is this a common thing in MS or could it be a joint issue? 
Hi Clara - it could be ms or a joint problem. I’ve had loads of problems with my hips and no one sure if it was ms or arthritis, which was diagnosed in my right hip about 5 years before any ms symptoms. I’m now waiting for a double hip replacement after xrays were taken and showed severe deterioration. No one seems to know why my hips have got so bad so quickly ! So I would suggest you press for an xray to find out if there is any deterioration of the joints - then at least you will know one way or the other.
