Help form E

Hello guys, this is the first I’ve posted, but just incase anyone has had experience with this, I’ve got a question. I have to fill out a form e, as me and my wife are divorcing, it’s been a turbulent time throughout the marriage, but I won’t go into detail, however I do need to fill out the form e, which is a document that discloses all financial assets etc, now I’ve completed the majority, but I am stuck on what to put for ongoing costs, I was diagnosed in 2012 and remained largely unaffected until around 3 years ago as the ms symptoms have really began to take hold, I struggle to walk to far now, get really fatigued, my cogn ability has wained somewhat and have bladder problems. No I’m classed as having RRMS, but I can’t really remember having a relapse for a long time, but my ms is getting worse, so I’m guessing that’s progressive. So has anyone got an idea of what it would cost to care for someone with this condition? I fear I may loose my house or have to sell it to settle with my wife, which would be a real shame as I built the house 6 years about and with my condition in mind, so it is suited for somebody living with a disability. Thank you for listening.

Hi Nel

Make it clear that you built your house to cater for your needs as a person with MS.

It’s not as though you could find another such place.

Good luck

Hi, I am sorry you find yourself in this sad situation.

It is really unfair that you should lose your house.

Have you got a solicitor? You need someone qualified to prove how much you need the adaptations for your progressive condition.

Could your neuro provide a letter?

you need legal advice - you don’t say if you and your wife are working - am not sure on this but if you’re not working you may be able to claim financial support from your (ex) wife if she is working ???

it may be that when the judge looks at the finances and takes into account your medical condition it may not be a 50/50 split ??

but consult a lawyer.
