Head tender to touch relapse???

Hi, I have rrms. For the last 5 hours or so the right hand side of my head is hurting, and really tender to touch.Even when I swallow my head hurts. I haven’t hurt my head or any. Does anyone know what this could be ?? Thanks for any help.

Its a sensory symptom and its awful it feels like your hair had been pulled by the roots and bruised and very tender to touch.I have had it a few times, sometimes just randomly and sometimes as part of a relapse.Mine seems to last a few days to a few weeks.

Hi Kookie, Thankyou.

Hi, if the pain persists more than a couple of days, I would ring your GP.

Hi Boudica405, Thanks x

I have a feeling of cramp in my hair roots.

It sounds weird, that’s how I know it’s a MS symptom.

It’s as though I have had my hair tied up very tightly, like one of those pony tails that give you a face lift!

You have sensitive glands around the skull, (Occipital & Posterior & Auricular nymph nodes).

When they are tender it feels like your pushing on a bruise.

You’ll find most of the nodes around the base of the skull at the back.

Sometimes these glands get tender when you have an infection building up.

If you do have an infection, your MS could flare up, so it’s a vicious circle , but the MS isn’t the cause of the tender nodes.
